Well, this is going to be just the most freaking fun I've had in ages. I ran a repair on WOW (five times) and somehow I have a folder in there that is bigger then it's supposed to be. It seems that WOW's repair tool won't, or can't, fix it and recommends that I reinstall the damn game And yeah, I tried deleting just that freaking file, still no go.

So, let's see, that means the original game, the BC edition and 1 gazillion mb of patches!!!! Anyone need spare parts for a computer once I though this bastard out into the yard?

I guess that big file answered my mystery question: how in the hell I can be in game and out to desktop instantly, like WOW wasn't even running?

Keeping fingers crossed that I can fix this damn mess.

Remove the patch files some where else... then add them back when you're done installing.. That's what I had to do awhile back
